Post by : BRIG SANDEEP RAWAT Post on : 05.08.2022

Not gold but only men can make, A People great and strong,

Men who, for truth and honor’s sake. Stand fast and suffer long.

We have all heard this poem as children. However, it may have struck more to some than to others.

Do you fall into the latter category? Are you a natural patriot? Is the Army something that has always piqued your interest? Have you desired the prim & proper army uniforms? Have you always favored films like Lakshya, Uri, or Border above others? Or are you simply captivated by the Army’s job and considering joining its ranks?

If you answered yes to these questions, you belong to the ranks! Wish to be an officer in the armed services and wondering what the prerequisites are and what courses you can take to get there. You’ve come to the perfect place!

Being an officer in the Indian Army is a source of pride, given the rigorous training required and the pride our army takes in its military records. Joining the armed forces not only gives you an opportunity to protect the country’s borders but also provides exposure that helps build the character of a strong man.

Eligibility

Understanding the fundamental eligibility standards is the first step toward becoming a soldier. A 10+2 pass out in any stream is required for undergraduate courses. Some institutes require an entrance exam to be passed in order to pursue postgraduate studies. No matter what the written grades are, if qualified, the Army fitness tests are designed to be brutal!

Jobs in the Indian Army

The Indian Army offers two sorts of jobs: Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC). The training courses at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun award Permanent Commissions to meritorious individuals, whereas the Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai awards Short Service Commissions.A career in Permanent Commission is more long-term, lasting until you retire, whereas a career in Short Service Commission requires you to serve in the Army for 10 years, after which you can either opt for Permanent Commission, extend your SSC tenure by four years, or opt-out of service. Not only that, but it also allows you to drop out at any moment during the 10-year duration of service.

That being said, Army is one of the most celebrated ways to serve the nation. Enroll in one of our defense courses to start your career in the armed services and pave your way to success.
